Pawwah Ler and his family are homeowners in Tompkins County. They made the decision to switch energy sources in their home through the Finger Lakes Climate Fund and the Mobile Home Pilot Project!
They had been using natural gas and window AC units to heat and cool their home. These systems were inconsistent, causing drafts throughout the house. Also, their window AC units were very loud.
Since Halco removed the old furnace and installed a heat pump, they have been experiencing a number of benefits including noise reduction, more balanced temperatures, and lowered utility costs.
Pawwah described Halco’s work as professional and was pleased with the process. Thanks to Halco and Sustainable Finger Lakes, their home is more comfortable and they are saving money. Their decision to make the switch to a more sustainable energy source will also keep 144 tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere!
