Michael Smith offset his flight to visit his dad and summer baseball camp commute for his sons.
“I fly only as a last resort, and I’m grateful for the Finger Lakes Climate Fund so that I can offset the carbon plumes produced by flying, most recently a trip back to the Midwest to visit my 101 year old grandmother in Minnesota and then to Chicago to meet my dad and sons to see the Cardinals play the Cubs at Wrigley field. I wish being together did not sometimes require flying, but I am grateful to be able to cover those carbon debts when we incur them. Normally, my family travels by train when we go long distances.”
