For years, Tracy had been heating her 1960s-era mobile home with propane, a method that can only be described as inefficient and expensive! Ready for a change, Tracy reached out to the experts at Halco Energy to explore better options.

The heat pump specialists at Halco knew just what Tracy needed. They helped her bid farewell to propane by upgrading her home to a modern, efficient air source heat pump. To make this change financially accessible, Halco connected Tracy to the Climate Fund. Recognizing the impact of her emissions-busting decision, we were thrilled to award Tracy our maximum grant.

Thanks to her new heat pump, Tracy will prevent an astounding 111 tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere over the system’s lifespan. But the benefits don’t stop there! Since the installation, Tracy has enjoyed a massive 66% reduction in her energy bills, blissful air conditioning during the hot and humid summers, and more consistent, cozy heating throughout the winter chills.

All in all, Tracy has truly earned her stripes as a climate hero, and we could not be more proud to share her home energy story!
