Peter McDonald, Chair of the Sustainable Finger Lakes Board, toured New Mexico in his Eurovan, pictured here in the Carson National Forest.
After completing an impressive 5,500-mile round trip, Peter immediately visited the Finger Lakes Climate Fund website to calculate his carbon footprint and determine the cost of offsetting his travel. His donation directly contributes to our important climate fund which supports so many crucial and local environmental causes.
A lifelong environmentalist with a history of serving on the boards of multiple environmental organizations, Peter didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile to donate. Why? “It’s critical for those of us who enjoy traveling, whether by train, plane or camper vans, to take responsibility to offset our travel for a locally worthy cause,” Peter shared. “It’s good for the Earth, for our region, and for our obligation to a sustainable future.”
