Heather and Bruce Lane have been supporters of the Finger Lakes Climate Fund for many years, both personally and during their ownership of Purity Ice Cream. They worked hard to make the Purity building a model of energy efficiency by incorporating one of the area’s first commercial geothermal installations and by extensive use of Solar PV on the roof top and snug insulation around the building.
As they visit their kids and grandkids spread across the country and hike the world’s by-ways in retirement, they strive to offset their travel footprint by supporting the work of the Finger Lakes Climate Fund. At home, they converted from fuel oil to air sourced heat pumps in 2019.
